Sunday Soiree: Sips & Soups
Sunday, October 12
2pm to 5pm
"Riverview Estate"
340 E. Buena Vista
Chester, IL 62233
Wine is about a lot more than just a good buzz or a delicious food pairing... for millennia, wine has been about gathering with friends and family... raising a glass together!
In that spirit, some of the leading wine influencers around the world have created "Come Over October," a worldwide month of events to promote the social nature of wine.
With that in mind, I wanted to invite my clients to "come over" to my home and celebrate wine and togetherness with some delicious soups and some amazing wines to sample!
Join me on Sunday, October 12, from 2pm to 5pm at my home in Chester, Illinois, as we sample an assortment of soups paired with a number of wines I'm pulling out of my cellar!
Last year, more than 40 clients gathered to share special bottles of wine and creative soups and desserts, and I'm hoping for an even bigger crowd this year!
As a special bonus this year, we'll have a selection of newly released premium wines that you'll be the first clients to sample! In addition, I'll open a few unique bottles from my cellar too!
My space in Chester sits atop the bluff with a beautiful view of the Mississippi River, and weather cooperating, we'll hopefully enjoy a lovely autumn day!
Please plan to bring lawn chairs. This is a casual event, so dress appropriately for the weather.
The drive from St. Louis is a little over an hour down Route 3 in Illinois or Interstate 55 in Missouri. There's no formal plan for the event, so stop by when you can!
Friends and family welcome!
I am asking that you RSVP below so I can prepare enough soups and wine!
If you'd like to bring a soup or dessert, it would be appreciated but not required! I'm sure we'll have plenty of food either way!
In the event of rain, I will have to cancel the event. I'll make that call by 11am on Sunday morning and inform everyone who has RSVP'd.

Chester, Illinois, is the Home of Popeye! The creator of the comic book series lived in Chester and based the characters on folks he saw while living near the river. The town features more than 20 statues of Popeye characters. You can learn more here!
